These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Clipboard, including its Android app, Mac app, Web app, and clipboardhistory.app website (the "Service"). The Service is provided by The 1 Studio ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use. The Service is not intended for children under 13, or a higher minimum age required by local law.
2. The Service
Clipboard helps you save, organize, search, copy, and optionally sync clipboard text across supported devices. Features may vary by platform, operating-system permissions, subscription, app version, and region. We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features over time.
3. Accounts
Some features require Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining control of your login account and devices and for activity performed through your Clipboard account. Provide accurate information and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of text, titles, tags, folders, and other content you save in Clipboard. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, display, and process that content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to store and process your content and that it does not violate law or another person's rights. Do not use Clipboard to store unlawful content or intentionally store credentials, payment information, private keys, recovery codes, or other information whose exposure could cause serious harm.
5. Clipboard and accessibility access
Platform restrictions may limit background clipboard access. On Android, optional clipboard monitoring may use AccessibilityService only after you enable it and grant permission. You can disable that feature at any time. You are responsible for checking content before saving, syncing, or sharing it.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
Some features may require a paid subscription or purchase. Prices, billing periods, trial terms, and included features are shown before purchase. Billing is handled by Apple, Google, or another identified store, and their payment and refund rules apply. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until canceled through the store account used to purchase them. Deleting Clipboard or your Clipboard account does not itself cancel an active store subscription.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
- Access another user's account or content without permission.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, bypass, or interfere with security or access controls.
- Upload malware or use automated means that unreasonably burden the Service.
- Reverse engineer or copy the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, branding, design, software, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service as intended. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation.
9. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties such as Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google Play. Their own terms and policies govern their services. We are not responsible for third-party outages, account actions, store decisions, or content outside our control.
10. Availability, backups, and changes
We work to keep Clipboard reliable, but the Service is provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability, perfect synchronization, or permanent preservation. Clipboard is not a substitute for an independent backup. Keep separate copies of important content. We may impose reasonable limits or change supported platforms to protect or operate the Service.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Clipboard at any time and may request account deletion through our account deletion page. We may restrict or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or misuse the Service. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that content will never be lost. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The 1 Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
14. Responsibility for claims
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, and reasonable costs resulting from your unlawful content, misuse of the Service, or material breach of these Terms. This provision does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own conduct.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, or security practices. We will post the updated Terms and change the date above. If a material change requires notice or consent, we will provide it as required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept it.
16. Applicable law and disputes
Applicable law governs these Terms without overriding mandatory consumer protections where you live. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. You may still use any regulator, court, or dispute process available to you under applicable law.
